The CDM was conceptualized to 'expand' the existing banking services, aimed to further improve and automate the manual Over-The-Counter (OTC) process by providing a self-service machine that accept cash deposit transaction, driven by the following considerations:

• Convenience Banking/Customer Service Satisfaction;

• Risk Mitigation;

• Corporate Image Enhancement; and

• Cost Savings

 

Objectives

The implementation of CDM aims to:

• Expedite peso cash deposit transactions as customers will no longer be joining the queue for OTC transactions, thereby, providing a fast and convenient banking experience;

• Improve customer service by having more time servicing other customers with non-cash deposit transactions;

• Eliminate the risk of accepting fraudulent peso currencies; and

• Serve as alternative channel for other banking transactions that will be covered in its future upgrades.

 

CDM Overview

The CDM is a self-service machine with a real-time cash deposit functionality that is capable of performing the following:

• Accepts card-based and card-less cash deposit transactions for ATM accounts

• Counts and sorts bills/notes

• Verifies authenticity/detects counterfeit bills/notes

• Issues confirmation receipt for transactions

• Provides facility for "Balance Inquiry"
