President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. appointed Omar Byron T. Mier as a Board Member of LANDBANK to represent the Private Sector. He assumed office on March 5, 2025.   

 

A seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance and corporate governance, Director Mier currently serves as Director of Maya and Robinsons Land Corporation.

 

Prior to his current roles, Director Mier built a distinguished career in the financial sector, including as Independent Director of Robinsons Land, Independent Director of RCBC Leasing, and President and EVP-Chief Credit Officer of Philippine National Bank. His extensive leadership experience also includes roles as Deputy General Manager at Deutsche Bank and Country Risk Manager at Citibank.  

 

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Director Mier earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of the Philippines Diliman.

 

With his extensive background in banking, risk management, and corporate governance, Director Mier brings invaluable insight and leadership to the LANDBANK Board, further strengthening the Bank’s mission of empowering Filipinos for a better future.
