Ma. Celeste A. Burgos has more than three decades of credit expertise in the Bank, wherein she managed various loan accounts of top corporations, mid-sized companies, government agencies, financial institutions, LGUs, and cooperatives. She also played a key role in introducing innovations to enhance the quality of loan proposals and maintaining strong banking relationships with clients.

 

Prior to heading the National Development Lending Sector, she has held various positions in different lending groups: Corporate Banking Group, Northern & Central Luzon Lending Group, and Mindanao Lending Group. She is also one of the home-grown leaders of the Bank, wherein she rose from being a Project Analyst in 1989 to becoming a Senior Vice President at present.

 

Celeste is a Certified Public Accountant and has completed her bachelor's degree from St. Paul College of Manila. She earned complete units for her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila’s Top Executive Program. She also attended the Banking and Finance Development Program at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and the International Study on Rural Banking and Finance at the Massey University in New Zealand.
