Gonzalo Benjamin A. Bongolan has extensive expertise in investment banking, corporate finance, and capital markets. As the Head of the Treasury and Investment Banking Sector at Land Bank of the Philippines, he oversees the bank’s treasury operations, investment portfolio, financial advisory services, and capital market initiatives.

 

Prior to his current role, he led the Investment Banking Group at LANDBANK for over seven years, spearheading numerous landmark and award-winning transactions that significantly contributed to the Bank’s growth and market presence.

 

A certified capital markets professional in equities, fixed income, treasury and money markets, Mr. Bongolan holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of the Philippines School of Economics, where he has taught. He is also a sought-after speaker, lecturer, resource person, contributing to the development of the Philippine capital markets through market education and mentorship.

 

A prominent national student leader of the 1980s, Bong was Chairman of the UP Diliman University Student Council and a member of the UP Board of Regents, representing the studentry.
