Gaudencio "Goody" S. Hernandez, Jr. was appointed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as a Board Member of LANDBANK, representing the Private Sector, and assumed office on February 13, 2025.

 

Director Hernandez brings a wealth of experience spanning both the private and public sectors, with expertise in finance, corporate governance, and international development.

 

Currently, he serves as an Independent Director of PHINMA Insurance Brokers Inc., Ovialand Inc., St. Peter Life Plan Inc., and the Philippine International Convention Center; an Advisor to the Office of the President of Concrete Masters, Inc.; Director and Treasurer of TOEI Animation Phils. Inc., and Trustee and Treasurer of the Ateneo Alumni Association Inc. He is likewise a financial consultant for the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation, contributing to key housing finance initiatives in the country.

 

From 2010 to 2016, he served as the Philippine Representative to the Asian Development Bank Executive Board, where he played a key role in international financial development and governance. Prior to this, he had a distinguished 31-year career at EEI Corporation as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer, driving the company’s financial strategy and growth.

 

Director Hernandez holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Ateneo de Manila University (1972) and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (1983). He also completed the Top Management Program at the Asian Institute of Management in 1990.

 

With his extensive background in finance, governance, and international relations, Director Hernandez is a valuable addition to LANDBANK’s Board, contributing to its mission of empowering Filipinos for a better future.
